Sergeant Henry Falcott, a soldier in the U.S. Army, received the Medal of Honor for gallantry on August 22, 1868 vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona during the Indian Campaigns. At the time he was serving with Company L, 8th U.S. Cavalry. Falcott was about 33 years old.
11 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on July 24, 1869. He later rose to the rank of First Sergeant.
Falcott was born in 1835 in Champagne, France — one of 18 recipients born in France. His Medal of Honor is credited to San Francisco, San Francisco County, California. Falcott died on December 2, 1910 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of about 75. He is buried at San Antonio National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Henry Falcott (1835 – December 2, 1910) was a French-born soldier in the U.S. Army who served with the 8th U.S. Cavalry during the Apache Wars. He was one of thirty-four men received the Medal of Honor for gallantry in several battles against the Apache Indians in the Arizona Territory from August to October 1868.
