Sergeant Charles S. Fall was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on May 12, 1864 in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company E, 26th Michigan Infantry. Fall was about 22 years old.
34 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on May 13, 1899, 35 years after the action.
Fall was born in 1842 in Noble County, Indiana. His Medal of Honor is credited to Hamburg, Livingston County, Michigan. Fall died on June 4, 1918 in Pasadena, California, at the age of about 76. He is buried at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Alhambra, California.
