Sergeant Charles H. Fasnacht was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on May 12, 1864 in Spotsylvania, Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company A, 99th Pennsylvania Infantry. Fasnacht was 22 years old.
34 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on April 2, 1878, 13 years after the action. He later rose to the rank of First Lieutenant.
Fasnacht was born on March 27, 1842 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His Medal of Honor is credited to Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Fasnacht died on July 21, 1902, at the age of 60. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Sergeant Charles Henry Fasnacht (born Karl Heinrich Fasnacht; March 27, 1842 – July 21, 1902) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Fasnacht received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House in Virginia on 12 May 1864. He was honored with the award on 2 April 1878.
