Trumpeter Elmer A. Snow was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on June 17, 1876 at Rosebud Creek, Montana during the Indian Campaigns. At the time he was serving with Company M, 3d U.S. Cavalry. Snow was about 25 years old.

Snow was born in 1851 in Hardwick, Worcester County, Massachusetts. His Medal of Honor is credited to Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Snow died on January 21, 1892 in East Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of about 41. He is buried at Highland Cemetery in Athol, Massachusetts.
