Corporal Milton Hanna was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on February 15, 1863 in Nolensville, Tennessee during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company H, 2d Minnesota Infantry. Hanna was 21 years old.
7 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on September 11, 1897, 34 years after the action. He later rose to the rank of Sergeant.
Hanna was born on January 12, 1842 in Licking County, Ohio. His Medal of Honor is credited to Henderson, Sibley County, Minnesota. Hanna died on January 21, 1913 in Minnehaha, Minnesota, at the age of 71. He is buried at Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato, Minnesota.
