Corporal Jesse T. Barrick was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions between May 26 and June 2, 1863 at Duck River, Tennessee during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company H, 3d Minnesota Infantry. Barrick was 22 years old.
The medal was presented on March 3, 1917, 53 years after the action. He later rose to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
Barrick was born on January 18, 1841 in Columbiana County, Ohio. His Medal of Honor is credited to Fort Snelling, St. Paul County, Minnesota. Barrick died on November 3, 1923 in Pasco, Washington, at the age of 82. He is buried at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
Barrick is one of 1,525 Medal of Honor recipients from the Civil War and one of 45 credited to Minnesota.
