Corporal Emisire Shahan was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on April 6, 1865 at Deatonsville (Sailor's Creek), Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company A, 1st West Virginia Cavalry. Shahan was 21 years old.
59 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on May 3, 1865. He later rose to the rank of Sergeant.
Shahan was born on August 14, 1843 in Preston County, West Virginia. His Medal of Honor is credited to Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. Shahan died on November 17, 1919, at the age of 76. He is buried at Masonic Cemetery in Elma, Washington. Records also list him as Shahan, Amaziah.

Emisire Shahan (14 August 1843 - 17 November 1919, also known as Amaziah Shahan) was a sergeant in the United States Army who was awarded the Medal of Honor for gallantry during the American Civil War. Shahan was awarded the medal on 3 May 1865 for actions performed at the Battle of Sailor's Creek in Virginia on 6 April 1865.
