First Lieutenant Arthur Medworth Ferguson was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on September 28, 1899 near Porac, Luzon, Philippine Islands during the Philippine Insurrection. At the time he was serving with 36th Infantry, U.S. Volunteers. Ferguson was 21 years old.
The medal was presented on March 8, 1902, 2 years after the action. He later rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Ferguson was born on December 11, 1877 in Coffey County, Kansas. His Medal of Honor is credited to Burlington, Coffey County, Kansas. Ferguson died on February 20, 1923, at the age of 45. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

Biography
Arthur Medworth Ferguson (December 11, 1877 – February 20, 1923) was a United States Army officer who received the Medal of Honor for actions on September 28, 1899, during the Philippine–American War. He later obtained the rank of lieutenant colonel. He had previously been promoted from Corporal after being awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for actions on April 26, 1899. Colonel Ferguson is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
