Sergeant Robert M. Boody was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on May 2, 1863 in Williamsburg & Chancellorsville, Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company B, 40th New York Infantry. Boody was 27 years old.
11 other service members also received the Medal of Honor for actions on the same day. The medal was presented on July 8, 1896, 33 years after the action. He later rose to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
Boody was born on March 6, 1836 in Limington, York County, Maine. His Medal of Honor is credited to Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. Boody died on October 22, 1913 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, at the age of 77. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Robert Milton Boody (March 6, 1836 – October 22, 1913) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Boody received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Williamsburg at Williamsburg, Virginia, and the Battle of Chancellorsville at Chancellorsville, Virginia, on May 5, 1862, and May 2, 1863. He was honored with the award on July 8, 1896.
