Sergeant Lester Goodel Hack was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on April 2, 1865 in Petersburg, Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company F, 5th Vermont Infantry. Hack was 21 years old.

Hack was born on January 18, 1844 in Cadwell, Warren County, New York. His Medal of Honor is credited to Salisbury, Addison County, Vermont. Hack died on April 24, 1928 in Copenhagen, New York, at the age of 84. He is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Ticonderoga, New York.

Lester Goodel Hack (January 18, 1844 – April 24, 1928) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Hack received his country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor. Hack's medal was won for his actions at the Third Battle of Petersburg in Virginia, where he captured the flag of the Confederate 23rd Tennessee Infantry on April 2, 1865. He was honored with the award on May 10, 1865.
