Private James Brady was a soldier in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on September 29, 1864 at Chapin's Farm, Virginia during the Civil War. At the time he was serving with Company F, 10th New Hampshire Infantry (Irish Regiment). Brady was about 22 years old.

Brady was born in 1842 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. His Medal of Honor is credited to Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Brady died on October 7, 1904, at the age of about 62. He is buried at Old Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond, New Hampshire. Records also list him as Bradbury, James.
